Located 30km north of Brisbane City on the Bruce Highway at Mango Hill. CCA Winslow re-commenced as the sole contractor undertaking construction of residential, industrial, commercial developments, wetlands, bio-basins, and trunk infrastructure including truck water, sewer, rising mains, collector road, and main roads from mid-2004 to the beginning 2016. In October 2016 CCA Winslow was awarded the final stages of the industrial precinct to link through Flinders Pde. In addition, further subdivisions incorporating land immediately outside the DCP will commence November 2016.
On-site construction had occurred on a number of fronts. Up to 3 precincts with 2 to 3 stages in staggered construction at the same time. Infrastructure work to service those precincts were built at the same time. These involved collector roads, main roads, wetlands including bio-basins, rising mains, and trunk sewer lines.
This work required close co-ordination and co-operation with the client, service contractors, landscape architects, landscape contractors, irrigation consultants, and civil consultants. A close relationship and trust were built with the Council representatives during that time.
As the project required large areas of land to be opened there was a high focus on sediment and erosion control. We trialled products to assist in the reduction of sediment-laden runoff and utilised these understandings throughout our other projects.
Within individual parts of the master-planned community, we have undertaken the construction of a bridge, a bebo arch, lakes, dams, major box culverts, 8m-high soil reinforced segmental block retaining walls, two stages of the Stockland retirement village, and playing fields and school earthworks.
