Yarrabilba is a master-planned community located 4km south of Logan Village at the intersection of Waterford-Tamborine Road and Camp Cable Road. Constructed on an old commercial pine plantation site, it is currently home to over 3000 residents. CCA Winslow completed all the subdivision work at the site between 2011 and November 2016. In the process we delivered 2500 lots and, at one point, finished 600 lots in a six-month period to meet the client’s requirements. To date we have moved 2 million cubic metres of earthworks and completed subdivision 54 stages. A project of this size and its continual development meant that CCA Winslow worked very closely with the client, consultant, EDQ and council to tackle various problems and maintain programme.
The work included major infrastructure to service the site, which comprised of 2km of dual lane divided road with 3 sets of traffic lights. In addition, there was a major upgrade to the main road’s intersection at the entry to the site. Construction included five flood bunds and extensive wetland to adjacent remnant vegetation. Large infrastructure water main was up to 600 diameters and the formation of a district oval was included in the varying works completed.
